• Producing 1 kg of silk requires approximately 3,000 silkworms and around 104 kg of mulberry leaves.
• Making a pure silk kimono requires approximately 5,000 silkworms.
• Silk quality is measured using a unit called Momme, with grades ranging from 1 to 29. The higher the Momme, the greater the silk’s density and softness. This pillowcase comes in 19 Momme silk.

• Hand wash by gently soaking without vigorous rubbing, or machine wash inside a mesh laundry bag.
• Wash at a maximum temperature of 30°C using the gentlest available wash cycle.
• Use a mild liquid detergent or a detergent specifically formulated for silk.
• Keep the spin cycle as short as possible.
• Do not use bleach.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Hang to dry away from direct sunlight.
• Keep away from pets and sharp objects.
